You’ve been planning and prepping for this day for far too long to let a little something like a makeup mishap ruin your moment. To ensure you look and feel your best when you say, “I do,” we asked celebrity makeup artist of Angelo David Salon, Piper Cline, what 5 things every bride should have in her emergency kit.
1. Safety Pins
When you’re wearing something as delicate as a wedding gown, you have to be prepared for the worst (i.e., a wardrobe malfunction). Store a few safety pins (preferably of different sizes) in your purse to fix or prevent this.
2. Travel Size Hairspray
Wedding hair can unexpectedly get out of place, particularly if you’re taking a ton of photos outside. Help tame any last minute flyaways with a small, travel size can of hairspray. A few hairpins are a good idea, too!
3. Cotton Swabs
Tears and weddings typically go hand in hand, so don’t forget to bring cotton swabs from home. Trust us; you’ll be glad you did when you can touch up without having to ruin your makeup.
4. Lipstick
All that kissing and champagne tends to rub the lip color right off your perfect pink pout. Make sure you have the right shade ready to reapply as needed.
5. Deodorant Towelettes
Weddings can be a high-tension event, especially for the bride. Nerves and emotions get in the way, resulting in clammy hands and/or sweaty underarms. These towelettes will keep you fresh and camera ready.
