It’s October! That means it’s time to start prepping for Halloween, and we’re putting together tons of party ideas, recipes, and costume ideas to help. Halloween season is back, but you don’t need orange and black to have an awesome Halloween party. To prove it, we’ve put together an ultra-eerie ghostly white party theme that’s sure to send chills down your guests’ spines. Keep reading to see our ideas!
We’ve covered everything in ghostly grey and white for this one. Plates and napkins are a solid snow white and silver, and decorations like cobwebs and white-painted faux tombstones match perfectly. White branches and skull decorations bring even more style to the setting.
Old-fashioned bottles with corks and glassware contribute to the spooky feel of the scene – it’s like a black and white photo from another age brought to life.
We thought it better to keep the sweet ideas relatively simple and almost austere for this one. A round white cake with nothing but a layer of fondant certainly seems creepier than anything else. White-frosted cupcakes and candies go with it. So do any drinks or cocktails, so long as they’re transparent.
What’s more perfect for a ghostly white party theme than white pumpkins? You can take ordinary orange pumpkin decorations and paint them white with a little glitter for a DIY touch, or simply shop your local craft store for readymade white ones.
Fake straw is one of our favorite Halloween party decorations, because it’s so versatile – for just about any party theme, it can provide just the right amount of texture and filler. We used some on this mantelpiece, along with a collection of ghostly white candles.
This carried over to smaller snack tables, too, where we even brought in a few snowflake decorations. If it’s white, it works, and snow certainly brings a chill to the air. White metal buckets made really nice and decorative serving displays for taffy and chocolates.
Of course, the guests ought to look ghostly for a ghost-themed party as well!
This group of ghosts, looks like they started partying a long time ago – but never left. Cobwebs and antique clocks help out with creating the spooky feel for this party.
These beautiful banshees aren’t so bad, but they certainly are haunting! Strings of pearls and tattered veils complete the ghastly gowns, and white makeup can take the look to the next level, too.
