I wasn’t feeling any Halloween spirit so I was really excited my Student Council class decided to go to a Haunted House last Thursday. I hadn’t realized it before, but I hadn’t been to a haunted house since I was 9! Tons of my friends went with which made it even better. The minute we walked in the doors, they began trying to scare us. I’ve never seen so many teenagers dressed up in weird costumes walking around all creepily trying to sneak up on you at every turn. A few people with us are afraid of clowns, so it was hilarious whenever the clown crept up on them. It was late at night too so all of us were acting a little crazy already.

I made up my mind that it would be much more fun to be scared at a haunted house then try not to be scared. Isn’t it a lot better to be afraid and scream then be bored? When we had to split into two groups, my friends and I were all designated the “screaming” group. There were eight of us and only two boys so we made them go first and last as we entered the haunted house. Ten-thousand screams and lots of running later, we were finally done. We all had so much fun! However, the “nonscreaming” group behind us didn’t like it because it wasn’t scary enough. That just shows you that when you go into something with a positive attitude, life is ten million times better!
