A New Look For Lockers - Sep 6, 2004
(Sep 6, 2004)
When I started school two weeks ago, everyone’s locker looked totally drab. There’s nothing more boring than staring at a plain locker stuffed with a few books for an entire school year. Thankfully, since then tons of my classmates have noticed the fast growing trend of locker decorating.
There are so many new products to buy for your locker that I can’t understand why anyone wouldn’t want their locker to look awesome. I decided to go all out with my locker this year. The entire door is covered with pictures of my friends and me. I also went out and bought word magnets so that I can express my feelings for the day. I even bought magnets that are picture frames. And of course I have the main essential, a mirror. Of course, this is just a start for my locker. I’m sure I’ll draw inspiration from other lockers. I even saw one person with rope lights in their locker (but that seems a little extreme).
But the greatest thing about my locker is that it is equipped with anything and everything you’d ever need. I have every type of school supply from a tape dispenser to a stapler to the always needed Post-Its (for when I need to leave a quick note for my friends). And of course I keep my locker stocked with non school essentials as well. I always have extra pairs of earrings for when I’m running late and forget them at home, in addition to lotion, extra make-up, and Jolly Ranchers (for that extra sugar boost in the morning). My friends always come to my locker when they need something because odds are, I’ll have it. I never knew a locker would become such a fashion statement, but it’s so much fun to decorate lockers, that I just can’t resist.
